Phoenix Suns
Three Finals appearances, no title yet. Seven Seconds or Less is still the most fun era in modern memory.

Three Finals appearances, no title yet. Seven Seconds or Less is still the most fun era in modern memory.
Founded in 1968, the Suns have one of the proudest histories without a title to show for it. They lost the 1976 Finals in a classic triple-overtime game, then fell again in 1993 behind Charles Barkley against Jordan's Bulls.
The mid-2000s Seven Seconds or Less teams, with Steve Nash running the most beautiful offense in the league, lit up the sport but kept losing in the playoffs to circumstance and bad luck.
Devin Booker and a 2021 Finals run brought the closest near-miss yet. Phoenix keeps building contenders and keeps coming up just short.
Steve Nash won back-to-back MVP awards running that offense, a rare honour for a point guard and a reminder of how far ahead of its time that team was.
You love gorgeous basketball and carry the ache of so many near-misses. Suns fans are romantics who deserve a trophy.
Star-driven and offense-first, so totals lean over. Health and chemistry swing the line; great on paper does not always cover.
