SERGIO
PEREZ
car 11
Mexico's most successful F1 driver. Perez returns to the grid with Cadillac after a year out.
The street-fighter back for more.
Sergio Perez was told his top-level days were done. He disagreed, and so did Cadillac.
Checo is a Mexican hero and one of the best overtakers and tyre managers of his era. He took a shock first win for Racing Point in Bahrain in 2020, then earned a Red Bull seat. There he won multiple races, mastered street tracks like Monaco and Singapore, and helped Red Bull win titles. But a tough final season saw Red Bull let him go at the end of 2024.
He sat out 2025, then signed for the new Cadillac team for 2026. It is a fresh start with a manufacturer chasing the future. Perez brings race wins, huge experience, and a massive fan base across Mexico and the Americas, which matters a lot to a new American project.
Perez brings noise, colour, and a legion of Mexican supporters. A multiple race winner launching an American team is a story with real heart.
As with any new team, avoid win and podium markets at the start. Perez's tyre skill can shine in long races, so watch points-finish props late in the year if Cadillac improves. His head-to-head with Bottas is an even, experienced match-up worth following race by race.
