WILLIAMS
mercedes
Williams Racing. Based in Grove. Constructors championship position 8 in 2026 with 7 points.
From kings to the back, and back again.
Few teams have fallen as far, or fought as hard to climb back, as Williams.
Frank Williams and engineer Patrick Head built one of the great teams. Through the 1980s and 1990s, Williams won nine Constructors titles. Legends drove for them: Mansell, Prost, Hill, Villeneuve. Nigel Mansell in 1992 and Damon Hill in 1996 were peak Williams. Then the money and the wins slowly faded.
By the late 2010s Williams was last, sometimes by a wide margin. The family sold the team to Dorilton Capital in 2020. New boss James Vowles, who came from Mercedes, started a long rebuild. They signed Carlos Sainz, a proven Ferrari race winner, to line up next to Alex Albon. The blue cars are climbing the grid again, one step at a time.
This is heritage. When you watch Williams score points, you are watching a team that once beat everyone claw its way back. Sainz and Albon give it real racing weight, not just nostalgia.
Williams is a midfield bet, not a podium banker. The value sits in points-finish and team head-to-head markets against the likes of Aston Martin and Haas. On a track that suits the car, a small each-way flutter on a surprise result can pay. Keep stakes light.
