The story

Four banners on Puget Sound

Founded in 2000, the Storm built around two number-one picks, Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson, and turned Seattle into a winner almost at once.

They won the title in 2004 and 2010 with that pair, then reloaded around Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd to win again in 2018 and 2020. Four championships put the Storm among the league's elite.

Sue Bird played her entire twenty-one-year career in Seattle and retired as one of the most decorated guards the sport has seen.

For the fans

You had Sue Bird for two decades, a one-club legend, and four banners to show for it. Few fanbases are that lucky.

For the punters

A franchise that knows how to win in May and June. In their title years the value sat on them deep in the playoffs, less so in the regular grind.
