ALPINE
renault
BWT Alpine Formula One Team. Based in Enstone. Constructors championship position 5 in 2026 with 35 points.
Champions once, searching now.
The factory at Enstone has built title-winning cars. Lately it has built frustration.
The team carries a huge history under a newer name. As Benetton it won titles with Michael Schumacher in 1994 and 1995. As Renault, Fernando Alonso beat Ferrari to back-to-back crowns in 2005 and 2006. Renault rebranded it Alpine in 2021, and Esteban Ocon gave the new name a shock win in Hungary that year.
Since then it has been a tough watch. The car has lacked pace, bosses have come and gone, and 2025 was a low year for points. Flavio Briatore, the man behind the Schumacher and Alonso titles, returned as an advisor to drag the team back up. For 2026 Pierre Gasly leads the line with young Argentine Franco Colapinto, who first made his name as a stand-in at Williams.
Colapinto brings a wave of Argentine support that lights up the grandstands. Gasly is a Monza winner who knows how to grab a big result when the chance comes. The blue and pink cars are easy to love.
Alpine has been a back-of-midfield bet, so be wary of any market that needs them to finish high. The smarter play is driver head-to-head and out-qualify-teammate props. If a new engine formula shakes things up in 2026, watch their early form closely before risking real stakes.
