Sweden hit five to lay down a marker
Sweden made a statement in their opening game. They beat Tunisia 5-1 on 15/06/2026. Yasin Ayari struck early and Alexander Isak added a second before the half hour. Omar Rekik pulled one back for Tunisia, but that was as good as it got for them.
Sweden pressed on after the break. Viktor Gyokeres made it 3-1, Mattias Svanberg added a fourth, and Ayari completed his brace in the 90th minute. Five goals and a clean run of finishing.
The win sent Sweden top of Group F. With Isak and Gyokeres both among the goals, they look one of the early form sides. Tunisia, bottom after the heavy defeat, have work to do.
