South Korea fight back to beat Czechia
South Korea came from behind to beat Czechia 2-1 on 12/06/2026. They fell behind on 59 minutes when Ladislav Krejci scored for Czechia. The early second half went against them.
The response was quick and clean. Hwang In-Beom levelled on 67 minutes. Then Oh Hyeon-Gyu put South Korea ahead on 80 minutes to win it. A strong show of character.
The win gave South Korea a fine start in Group A. They sit second, behind only Mexico. Czechia, beaten despite leading, were left to regret a missed chance.
